After long battle, planning consent was eventually granted in 2010 for a foodstore of 15,620 sq.ft. with 62 parking spaces and 8 x 2-bed maisonettes.
A sale has now been agreed with Lidl UK GmbH, conditional on planning. Lidl are currently seeking new planning consent for a scheme without any maisonettes. Store expected to open late 2015 / early 2016.
