Sleaford, Lincs

Strategic landholding of 1.7 acres that includes an industrial warehouse and a road. It will provide the southern section of the new link road and bridge that is needed for the redevelopment of the Sleaford Maltings and for a new Tesco foodstore.

The Maltings is England’s premier example of an industrial scale (500,000 sq ft) floor maltings, and Prince Charles’s Phoenix Trust has taken an interest in the regeneration of the Grade II* Listed complex. It is being promoted for a wide mix of uses by Gladedale.

Tesco bought the main body of land immediately to the north of the railway line, extending to over 13 acres, for £8.75m. Tesco obtained planning consent on their land for a 96,000 sq ft store. The consent is entirely conditional on the bridge that uses our land being built.
