During the 1990s Andrew Johnson ran Wyncote Developments plc, a Sussex based developer, and completed over £115m of non-food retail, food retail and industrial development.

Then in 2000 he formed the new venture, Albourne Property plc, and was joined by Richard Tillard.

In September 2005, a significant development fund was raised when Albourne formed Retail Development Partnership ("RDP”),  with sponsorship provided by Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance Limited ("JLLCF”).

JLLCF raised £10 million of equity for RDP, and in turn Albourne transferred the principal elements of its development portfolio into RDP, whilst also co-investing in the venture. Various banking facilities have subsequently maximised the leverage of the equity.

Through our subsidiary, Albourne Developments (RDP) Ltd, Albourne Property Plc continues to provide full management for the development portfolio of RDP.

With an exceptional range of experience, Albourne's activities cover the complete development spectrum from inception to completion. Andrew and his team have specialised in food retail and have worked with all the major supermarket operators over the years. But we has also completed several major non-food developments.

Few projects have materialised from open market sales, but more often from internal research and the team's own ‘groundwork', coupled with extensive contacts in the industry. Our trademark is our ability to unlock projects through complex land assembly with a tenacious approach to deal-making, and to secure planning consents in the most difficult of circumstances.

From our base in Mid-Sussex, the team covers a wide geographical area, with current projects nationwide.
